“Let’s put to rest the myth that an Apple computer will set you back more than a Windows PC. In fact, it’ll cost you less.”

says a so called column -> Once and for all, proof that Macs are cheaper than PCs

except there’s only one problem with the article- the author eludes you into thinking the article is talking about macs being cheap when it’s not. it’s talking about investment.

when it comes to a computer though, who the hell “invests”? the author says mac users equate it to purchasing a BMW, when it’s really like purchasing a Ford. no it’s not. it is exactly like purchasing a BMW because the article talks about how well a mac holds its value.

but that’s why more people have Fords than BMW’s to this day, sir. and more people will always have pc’s than macs because we don’t have the capital to go “investing”. the majority, the poor, want a computer to use until it goes into the ground. when you consider that as the most common reason a computer is purchased, then ultimately a pc is FAR FAR cheaper than a mac.

initial cost is everything.

but you know what, if you had to pay the premium, i’d absolutely say a BMW is worth more of your money than a mac is. at least the BMW you’re buying wasn’t made in China.
